If you ever have wanted to know if it was possible to build a powerful email list using free methods then you should read this article on free list building tips.
Seven Free List Building Tips

(1) Create a blog

Go to Blogger.com and create a free blog account. Now post about 5-10 short (250-300 word) “news they can use” how-to articles or check lists or helpful tips. At the bottom of each post include a link to the email list “squeeze page” on your main website.

(2) Post Comments

Go to Technorati.com and search for your keyword or by using the”Blogs” resource button. This should bring up a list blogs that you can start watching. Pick 2-3 to watch and track. Now over the next 30 days, write comments (with a weblink to your website) to posts that you like or dislike.

Don’t do lame stuff like, “This sucks!” or “Great job!” and expect anyone to click on your weblink. Take a minute or two to add some well thought out opinions before you write. People will click on links to learn more about people who understand and think like themselves.

(3) Forum Posts

Find a forum or discussion board of people who are within your niche market. Now lurk for a few days and learn more how the forum is run and how the admins/moderators operate. Now when you if a post that is related to your keyword or email list purpose then you can make a comment. If you have more free information on your website, you may or may not be able to make a weblink to it, depending on policy

(4) Signature Lines

If the forum forbids direct weblinks, then you should modify your forum account to include a weblink to your list squeeze page or your home page at the least. Also add a weblink your email accounts, all pointing back to your squeeze page.
(5) Write Articles
Most article directories will take how-to pieces as low as 400 words. So trot out your thinking cap and write down a 5-7 helpful tips, warning signs, “best ways to”, etc. Complete with a paragraph or two per each tip, warning sign. Post in directories like EzineArticles, ISnare or Idea Marketers, etc. In your resource box include a weblink to your email squeeze page.

(6) Create Videos

It’s fairly simple to create some decent looking videos using free presentation, audio recording and screen capture software. By using Open Office (Impress is PowerPoint knockoff), Cam Studio (a Free Screen Recording Software app) and Audacity (a Free Audio Editor and Recorder program) along with just a little bit of skill, you can produce a video that you can upload to You Tube. Always include your weblink in the starting and ending credits!

(7) Create Pod casts

Use Audacity (a Free Audio Editor and Recorder program) and cheap microphone (from the electronics store) to record 5-10 minute mini “talk radio shows”. You can include background music or flashy sounds effects, but you must always include good information and mention at least 2 times the URL or web address of your squeeze page.
Some of these free list building techniques, granted may take some time to learn or implement but you can easily over time increase your subscriber base using these free list building tips.

If you’re an electronics buff and have been considering starting your own business of some sort, why not focus on the kinds of things that you know and love – electronics.

There is a major interest in electronics on the consumer level, and if you are able to sell good electronics at great prices you can take a large share of this market. That means great money coming to you.

So, how do you do it? Well start by knowing what you want to sell.

What’s your niche?

There are plenty of angles you can take when you are selling electronics. Here’s a look at a few of them:

Youth Electronics

This time of year youth electronics are very, very popular. It’s the holiday season and everyone is looking for the latest and greatest of electronics toys for the young people in their lives. From video games to remote control toys, music players and musical instruments, they are all in high demand.

Traditional Electronics

The next thing to consider is traditional electronics offerings. This means things like TVs, stereos, computers and other electronics that most people have in their homes. In addition to having them, most people look to upgrade them and this is where you can get in on some business.

Electronics Components

Some people build their own electronics, but they need the components to do this with. If you have those items for sale, you will be able to quickly and easily build a group of followers and shoppers.

Stocking Your Inventory

As soon as you know what you want to sell, you need to start finding supplies. There are a couple of options:

Wholesale Electronics

Wholesale electronics are those that are purchased from the manufacturer or a distributor. These are generally purchased about 50% below retail price so you have room to mark them up.

Liquidation Electronics

On the other hand, liquidation electronics are those that are sold at a deep discount. Often these are overstock or closeout items. They may also be returns that were sent back to the store and are now being cleared out in large lots. You can often purchase these at pennies on the dollar. Make sure to read what you are getting before you buy.

Make the Sale

Once you know your market and have the inventory you need, what are you waiting for? It’s time to start selling those items! Start listing them on eBay. The key here is to make sure you are putting enough detail into your description, along with pictures, so your buyers know just what they are getting and are more likely to make a purchase.

Electronics are always evolving. As time passes, they get faster, smaller, clearer and more efficient. That is why it seems like a new T.V., camera, phone or computer comes out on the market as soon as you buy the old model. Even though this constant evolution keeps consumers on their toes when they buy replacement parts or research new products, it also contributes to discounts and sales. After all, new models come out so fast, that older ones are often still stocked on the shelves. And, like cars, older electronics can usually function just as well as the older models; they just look a little different.
How can electronics companies afford to run big sales?

The average person doesn’t know much about building a computer, a camera or a phone, which is why most people buy them, but being a smart shopper can ensure that you almost never have to pay the full price for them. Discounts may diminish a company’s profit margin, but they don’t destroy it.
As mentioned earlier, a surplus of supplies is one factor that leads to discounted electronics. Another reason why they can be discounted so often is that production costs for electronics are often significantly lower than consumer prices. This is because electronics companies, like many other manufacturers, have started making their products in different countries where the production costs are lower.
Different countries are suited for different kinds of products though. For example, China is a good place to make electronics because of the cheap labor and mass production capability. This is why more electronics are made in China than in any other part of the world. China is also a good place to make products because many of the people in the region are consumers.
With energy prices rising, shipping costs are another factor for manufacturers to consider though. Consequently, Mexico’s proximity to the U.S. coupled with affordable labor makes it another viable option. Electronics are still getting a foothold in Mexico though.
Vietnam is also a country where electronics companies are building factories, but one challenge that the area presents is a poor infrastructure. To run their equipment, many of these companies are building a power plant in addition to their factory.
No matter where the products are made, they are being produced for affordable prices. That means customers can buy them for good deals. As the largest commercial center in the United States, New York is a good place to look for discount electronics. New York vendors sometimes peddle imitation goods though so you have to be a little selective about the places you shop.

Choosing a manual or an electronic door opener for your commercial property doors is usually a matter of preference. Both perform well and do the job that they are required to do. Commercial property owners who decide to install electronic door closers are faced with another question: single-point or multi-point models?

This question applies in particular to fire doors. Fire doors protect commercial properties in the event of a fire emergency. They are made of materials which are highly resistant to flames and heat. During a fire, the door will prevent the spread of fire from one part of a commercial building to another. By containing a fire to the smallest possible area of a building, more property and possibly even lives are spared.

Door closers are an essential part of commercial doors. They are, in fact, a requirement in almost every industrialized country in the world. However, commercial property owners have a great deal of discretion when it comes to the type(s) of door closers they choose.

Property owners must maintain the integrity of fire doors. But in choosing electronic door closers with single or multi-point holding features, owners have the option to leave fire doors open (depending on the type of facility/business) while still having the assurance that doors will close automatically in the event of a fire, thus maintaining the building’s fire integrity.

The prevention of the spread of fire from building compartment to compartment can only be maintained if fire doors are closed when a fire breaks out. Local laws and building codes vary in regard to the status of fire doors. Some regions specify that fire doors must remain closed at all times. Others state that fire doors must be closed in the event of a fire. Still others may actually require fire doors that automatically close when a building’s fire detection system is activated.

To bring this into perspective, take a typical office building as an example. An individual lessee whose door has been equipped with an automatic door closing device can leave its entrance door propped open, even if the door is a fire door. Should a fire or an interruption to power occur, the door closer will be automatically activated.

Electronic door closers may come in single or multi-point holding models. A single-point holding electronic door closer, has the capability to hold a fire door open in a single position. Typically, single-point door closers hold a door in a fully-opened position. Multi-point holding models can hold a door open in multiple positions according to preference (i.e. fully, half or partially opened.)

In the event that power is interrupted (i.e. power failure) the door will close manually like a rack-and-pinion closing device. Electronic hold-open door closers may also be outfitted with smoke/fire detectors. These devices will automatically close the door when particles of combustion are detected.

Either way, commercial property owners can count on electronic door closers with hold-open function to protect their properties, employees and customers in a fire emergency. Plus, they offer the convenience of choice in allowing fire doors to stay open as desired without compromising safety integrity.

Using electronic muscle stimulators for body building provides nerve and flexor training for the muscles and seems to allow the muscle tissue to grow at a rate comparable to simple exercise. However, with the stimulators the body goes without the after-pain associated with strenuous weight training exercises. In this way the electronic muscle stimulators can help the body building enthusiast to better control the level of pain that is felt after a workout. Some people with problem areas such as sore shoulder muscles can use the stimulators to help alleviate the pain before the next session of exercising.
The same applies to anyone looking to lose weight with electronic muscle stimulator use. While the stimulator may help to alleviate the pain sometimes associated with weight loss exercising, the unit itself will most likely have very little to do with actual weight loss. However, by helping the person control any pain associated with the exercising, the stimulator may, in fact, help these people to exercise more. They will then have a better chance at losing more weight.
Electronic muscle stimulators have been thoroughly proven to help with physical therapy where nerve and muscle damage has occurred. Many therapists highly recommend the use of these units when their patients routinely complain of sore muscles during and after exercise workouts, or have some form of nerve damage that prevents them from getting the most out of life.
The effective use of these electronic muscle stimulators depends a lot on the type of patient and the nerve or muscle damage they may be suffering from. In general use, the stimulator units can be used easily by the patients themselves after only a few minutes of training. In this way, the patients control the amount of voltage used and the rhythm cycle that controls the rate of muscle contractions. Many health spas and gyms have electronic muscle stimulators on hand to help alleviate any sudden pain or muscle spasms that their customers may have while exercising. It’s fairly easy to become adept at using these units and many people swear by the relief that these units give them from their muscle and nerve pain.
Many manufacturers of these electronic muscle stimulators are quick to point out the safety and value of their products when it comes to weight loss or muscle building. How would a company stay in business if it didn’t promote its own products? Many federal departments have done exhaustive tests on these electronic muscle stimulators and have found that very few of them do anything at all in the way of weight loss. The results from using one of these units for weight loss is comparable to not using one at all, proving that the units are ineffective at best. In fact, they may end up being harmful if overused to stimulate out-of-shape muscle and fat tissue. Because the stimulators contract the muscles, many people believe that this motion causes the body to lose weight, but it is simply not true.
