One of the major cost-cutting measures we undertook recently was getting a business VOIP system designed – we chose a bespoke solution that was tailored from an off the shelf availability that we liked, giving us the opportunity to ensure we’d designed something that was not only perfect for our team, but extensible.  Our business VOIP feeds through a switchboard to phones, so to all intents and purposes, no one can tell that we’re not on a regular phone network, and due to the distributed nature of our office (over two floors in a small building) we decided that business VOIP represented the most cost effective, strong solution available.

One of the best things about the business VOIP system we bought is that it makes us quite a substantial saving.  We were delighted to discover this because it became clear, early on, that our phone costs were … quite simply a waste.  Simply because we don’t use the phone as often as we might.  So, we’re paying for something that’s basically passive, and wasn’t worth being rented.  It’s not that we don’t use them every day,  but there are times where it’s difficult to see what our phone brings that our computers don’t.  So we moved to business VOIP and haven’t looked back!
